Royal Bank established two temporary branch offices
in Boundary Bay, British Columbia and Dartmouth, Nova
Scotia to expressly assist discharged Royal Canadian
Air Force personnel. The provisional branches were very
successful in providing convenient banking facilities
to returning members of the Armed Forces from overseas
Here in a small village in the Apennines, the Lanark
and Renfrew Scottish Regiment add a touch of home. The
soldiers named the quartermaster store, kitchen and
mess after familiar Canadian institutional landmarks.
Here we see the Pay Masters Offices - affectionately
known as The Royal Bank of Canada, 1944
