RBC sponsors summit on climate change
Montreal, November 22, 2005 —
RBC Financial Group is a sponsor of the "Fourth Municipal
Leaders Summit on Climate Change," taking place from
December 5-7 in Montreal, Quebec. This event is being held
in parallel with The United Nations Climate Change Conference
relative to the Kyoto Protocol, which entered into force earlier
this year, also being held in Montreal.
Local governments around the world are starting to implement
measures to reduce their GHG emissions, improve the quality
of life for their inhabitants and protect the climate. This
conference will gather mayors and urban decision-makers from
all continents to address climate change issues in order to
build sustainable cities and communities.
