October 16, 2013 - The Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO) is offering First Nations communities the opportunity to build a healthier, more prosperous future -- and RBC has donated $100,000 to help.
The First Nations Partnership Program will engage community leaders to identify relevant issues in their communities and then develop multi-year action plans to address those issues. Their plans may focus on:
• economic development (business support, community economic development)
• health planning and management
• community planning (housing, public works, land management)
• governance (leadership, strategic planning, human resources)
• finance and accounting.
CESO was created to promote the well-being, and economic and social growth of global communities. Since 1969, CESO has completed more than 30,000 assignments with Aboriginal communities across Canada. RBC has supported CESO since 1994 with $445,000 in donations, funding several aboriginal economic development programs.
RBC supports a broad range of community initiatives through donations, sponsorships and employee volunteer activities. In 2012, we contributed more than $95 million to causes worldwide, including donations and community investments of more than $64 million and $31 million in sponsorships.
