Climate Change and Energy

Natural phenomenon combined with human activity, especially the combustion of fossil fuels, are causing long-term changes in our climate. In many parts of the world, climate change is having harmful environmental, social and economic effects. RBC will contribute to efforts to address the causes and manage the impacts of climate change.

Biodiversity

Human prosperity depends on a planet that’s rich and abundant in resources. These can’t exist without biodiversity -- a large variety of living organisms. We are committed to preserving biodiversity through our support of sustainable business practices, research and conservation efforts.

Water

Lack of access to clean fresh water is an increasingly important humanitarian, environmental and economic issue. We are exploring opportunities to contribute to solutions that address global water issues.

RBC Blue Water Project™

The RBC Blue Water Project is an innovative, 10-year, global commitment to help protect the world's most precious natural resource: fresh water. Under the RBC Blue Water Project, we have committed $50 million in donations to charitable organizations that protect watersheds and ensure access to clean drinking water.
