RBC Youth Optimism Study

When we launched the RBC Kids Pledge in 2013, we sensed that youth are reaching adulthood in an emotional slump—worried about job prospects and fearful that life will pass them by.

We launched the RBC Youth Optimism Survey in 2014 to talk to kids and youth directly about their hopes and fears for the future, in their own voices. The survey provides an unprecedented sounding of young people’s feelings and lays the groundwork for an ongoing inquiry with profound implications for parents, educators, governments and service providers.

The RBC Children’s Mental Health Parents Poll

Prior to the launch of the RBC Youth Optimism Study, we polled Canadian parents about their attitudes and experiences related to their children’s mental health. Each year, we shared the results with our partners and the Canadian public.
