Graduate Leadership Program

Learn from experience in a series of roles and assignments designed to hone your leadership skills and increase your knowledge of the RBC businesses. Explore the challenges of working on complex and highly strategic enterprise wide business issues, which require creativity and strategic thinking in addition to strong analytical skills. Discover that you have what it takes to be a successful leader in this cross-enterprise approach, one created to impart the "boundary-less" mindset critical to realizing your success with us as a future leader.

Each year, the Graduate Leadership Program (GLP) is offered to a select number of highly qualified MBA graduates who demonstrate outstanding track record of leadership and excellence in academic and extracurricular activities; strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work in ambiguous situations; proven client service orientation, and global mindset.

Over a minimum two year period, GLP Associates will be placed in a series of assignments across the organization that will provide rich context to develop the skills and knowledge required to become successful RBC leaders. The intent of this cross-enterprise approach is to create the integrative mindset necessary for realizing RBC's vision, "Always earning the right to be the client's first choice," in today's highly competitive global landscape. These assignments, will give you opportunity to work in such areas as Strategy, Product Development, Operations, Research, Projects Implementation, Client Relationship Management and are generally 6-months in duration.

These assignments may occur in any of areas of our business: Canadian Banking, International Banking and Insurance, Wealth Management; Global Capital Markets; Global Technology and Operations and Global Functions including Risk, Finance, Human Resources, Treasury and Strategic Development.

Associates will also benefit from one-to-one mentoring by executives for the duration of the program. Upon completion, Associates build their careers with RBC in areas of the organization where their interests, skills and leadership capability can be best leveraged for organizational impact.

We begin the recruitment for this program in September of each year and will have application details available at that time.
