Technical Specialist Program

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Passion for being on the cutting edge of technology and love programming
  • In-depth programming knowledge of one of the following languages: Java, C#, C/C++
  • Strong understanding and practical experience in the application of technologies to address diverse problems
  • Experience developing applications within a UNIX/Linux or Windows based environment
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Math based Science or Engineering discipline Leadership acumen and a passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment
  • Enthusiasm for the brokerage and investment banking industry including an active knowledge of current events impacting the industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills
  • Confidence to work with senior and executive level staff
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities across a number of assignments
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical or analytical discipline focusing on development, business analysis or project management

Technologies used include:

  • Real time messaging & middleware
  • Service Orientated Architectures
  • Complex event processing
  • Cloud computing
  • Open Source Libraries
  • Time series databases

This 15-month program consists of programming, design and technical architectural roles.Upon completion of this program, you will continue to build your career at RBC in an area where your interests, skills and capabilities will be utilized for maximum impact.
