The Canadian Banking Leadership Program (CBLP) aims to develop future leaders in Canadian Banking at RBC. It is a unique, accelerated leadership development program that offers opportunity to experience a number of different areas within Canadian Banking Head Office. The Canadian Banking Leadership Program is offered to a select number of highly qualified MBA graduates who demonstrate an outstanding track record of leadership and excellence in academic and extracurricular activities. We seek people who have a strong interest in the financial services industry, specifically retail banking and who can demonstrate; financial, analytical and decision making skills; ability to work in complex and ambiguous situations; and a genuine openness to a broadening experience.
It is a two-year leadership development program that provides experience in and exposure to Canadian Banking business groups and functions within Head Office. CB Associates will be placed in six month assignments and may occur in any Canadian Banking Head Office business or function including:
These assignments may entail such opportunities as developing strategy, managing a project from start to finish, conducting research, analysis and developing recommendations, and exposure to clients. Associates will also benefit from one-to-one mentoring by executives for the duration of the program. Upon completion, Associates will have an opportunity to build their careers with RBC in areas of Canadian Banking Head Office where their interests, skills and leadership capability can be best leveraged for organizational impact.
We begin the recruitment for this program in September of each year and will have application details available at that time.
