Can’t seem to get your foot in the door? RBC Career Launch is the opportunity you’ve been looking for! It’s a year-long, paid, first career experience and development program designed to help develop your resume and prepare you for long-term career success.

You are on: The Job

The RBC Career Launch Program is a year-long paid work experience and development program that helps you gain diverse experience and network with both seasoned and aspiring professionals.

If selected, you’ll be a part of three exciting work rotations in different areas at RBC, including:

  • Learn the ropes: You’ll apply practical business skills and contribute value to both clients and branch objectives while working in our retail banking division. As the face of RBC, you will work directly on the front lines, serving clients, carrying out transactions, solving problems and spotting sales opportunities.
  • Help the community: You’ll gain exposure to the operations of a partnering registered Canadian charity, applying practical business skills to help enrich local communities – something you can feel good about.
  • Take it to the next level: You’ll provide project-based support within one of RBC’s broad-based business areas (such as marketing, HR or operations), maintain ongoing business development, support community events and participate in internal development activities.

It’s all designed to help you learn about the many opportunities within both corporate and not-for-profit environments, and take on new responsibilities with each rotation. Work hard, learn quickly, and RBC Career Launch will help get your career on the right track.

You are on: Am I Eligible?

Before you apply, make sure you meet our eligibility criteria first! You must be:

  • Aged 24 or under as of March 22, 2017
  • A recent university or college graduate by December 15, 2016
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada for the duration of the program
    (March 2017 - March 2018)
  • Not currently employed by RBC
  • Not the child of or under legal guardianship of an Executive or Managing director at RBC as of the date of application
  • Available to work in one of the participating cities: Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Montréal, Moncton, Halifax, Oakville/Burlington, Guelph, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, London, Oshawa, Whitby, Barrie, Kingston, Ottawa or St. John’s
  • Able to attend an in-person panel interview in any one of the selected cities without any financial assistance from RBC during the week of February 6, 2017.

Liliana joined RBC in January 2013 as an Account Manager and is responsible for helping clients with their everyday banking, investing and borrowing needs. She has a background in finance and accounting. “I love working at RBC because of the positive working environment, the team approach to helping clients and the opportunities RBC provides to help employees advance in their careers.”

Sr. Technical Systems Analyst, Technology & Operations Global Tech Infrastructure

Jeremy joined RBC in January 2011 and is responsible for researching, testing and the integration of mobile messaging and mobile management platforms at RBC. He has a background in computer programming and analysis. “I love working at RBC because of its willingness to embrace exciting and new technologies.”

Cassandra Cook

Associate Manager, Brand Marketing

Cassandra holds a degree in Management Organizational Studies from the University of Western Ontario. She joined RBC in 2010 as a summer student and has since held a number of positions, including the Donations and Art Curator’s Administrative Coordinator and Assistant Manager, Corporate Donations. “I love working at RBC as I am able to have an influence and be part of that influence. Everyone’s a huge contributor to the company as a whole.”

Justin Ramdeen

Associate, Investor and Treasury Services

Justin joined RBC in February 2011 in the Technology and Operations Leadership Program and has worked in applications, HR, operations and infrastructure. He has a background in economics and an MBA. “I enjoy working at RBC because of the dynamic work environment, friendly atmosphere and volunteer opportunities available to employees.”

Meghan Dove

Social Recruitment Community Coordinator, Global Recruitment Sourcing & Strategy

Meghan joined RBC in October 2012 and is responsible for community management, content and brand development on RBC’s social recruitment platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn and JobBoards. She comes from a sports marketing background. “I love working at RBC because of supportive colleagues, positive working environment and the opportunities RBC provides to work on new and exciting things.”
