Investment Banking Analyst Program

Hone your skills, gain exposure to interesting, leading-edge transactions and learn from some of the best and brightest people in the industry! Each year, RBC Capital Markets' well-established Analyst Program hires undergraduates to work in the Global Investment Banking Group in our offices throughout North America. Candidates for this program are hired for an initial two-year period. Following an orientation and training program, Analysts join a team that executes transactions across a variety of industries. You will be assigned an assortment of analytical tasks associated with debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions and other financial advisory assignments.

On completion of this two-year program, many Analysts return to university to pursue postgraduate studies. However, some top-performing Analysts are given the opportunity to remain with the firm for a third year.

Global Markets Program

The Global Markets Program ties many of RBC Capital Markets training programs in our Toronto, New York and London offices together to offer Trainees globally coordinated rotations and a broader perspective on capital markets while providing more opportunities for Trainees to pursue their interests.

At the end of the program Trainees can expect to obtain:

• Hands-on experience working along side some of the best in the business.
• Direct exposure to the different areas of the capital markets.
• A solid understanding of RBC Capital Markets’ global capabilities.
• Unique exposure to and experience in international markets.
• An informed opinion and guidance around which parts of capital markets best suit their individual goals and strengths.

This program allows Trainees to gain exposure and experience in the areas in which they are most interested, make important business connections, better understand RBC Capital Markets’ global capabilities and obtain further applied knowledge in some of our key businesses.

Great care and resources have been devoted to ensure that at the end of the program Trainees will have all of the elements necessary for a successful career in capital markets.
