At RBC you will obtain workplace experience in various CA competencies and training that is leveraged from strong in-house and external training. You will be guided by successful CAs with years of audit and business experience and supported by senior executives here at RBC.

This is an excellent opportunity to draw upon your university education and your quest to be a CA, while gaining exposure to different businesses and beginning your future with a leading financial services organization. We provide you with a mentor committed to your success as we further establish RBC as a producer of emerging CA talent. Join us for this unique opportunity – we are committed to you!

Be a part of an audit team that delivers assurance services to our audit clients and assist with financial reporting requirements in the areas of head office finance, capital markets finance or retail banking finance. You will experience the advantage of our UFE preparation initiatives through study programs and experience in CA competencies. Gain in-depth, specialized training in the diversified finance industry sector, making full use of your demonstrated leadership potential and ability to bridge the gap between your university experience and a practical working environment.

The program selects those who are completing the 51 credit-hour requirement of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (ICAO) through a University degree program from an accredited program/stream. Ideal candidate are those that posses top quartile standing upon graduation and demonstrate service, teamwork and integrity in their professional and extracurricular experiences.

Individuals selected for the CA Training Program begin their rotations in mid September of each year. This 3-year program consists of 3 rotations of 12 months each. These pre-arranged rotations will allow you to pivot from Internal Audit to Finance and back again to Internal Audit. During year one you will be enrolled in CA preparatory courses as you begin your final preparations for the Uniform Evaluation.

Once you receive your CA designation, you will already be well on the way to an exciting career with RBC.

We begin the recruitment for this program in September of each year and target students entering their final year of study. Interviews begin by the end of the month and hiring selections and decisions are made by the end of October.

Application details will be made available in September; candidates interested in pursuing the challenges offered by this dynamic training program should prepare a cover letter, resume and transcripts.
