August 30, 2017 - On June 6, RBC was named one of Canada’s “Best 50 Corporate Citizens” by Corporate Knights magazine. This list is based on an evaluation of the environmental, social and governance performance of Canada's leading companies, and is recognized globally as a best practice for transparency and objectivity. This is the 16th consecutive year that RBC has been recognized with this honour.

This ranking measures a diverse range of Canadian enterprises based on twelve sustainability metrics, including greenhouse gas productivity, leadership diversity and pension fund quality. This year, RBC placed within the top 10 companies and was number one among Canada’s largest financial institutions.
