RBC wins platinum for responsible waste management

TORONTO, February 11, 2015 -  RBC was recently presented with a prestigious Platinum Clean City Award with Special Commendation for outstanding achievement in waste reduction and the continuous implementation of reuse and recycling initiatives in the Riverbank House building in London, UK. This award is the highest honour of recognition in the "Large Site" category, consisting of organizations with more than 200 employees. Initiatives at our Thames Court building in London were also recognized with a Platinum Clean City Award.

This is RBC's seventh consecutive year of Clean City Award wins, with a total of ten gold and four platinum awards received to date.

The Clean City Awards program, which has been running since 1994, aims to develop partnerships with London businesses by raising the profile of responsible waste management and recognizing and rewarding good practice by encouraging businesses to 'Reduce, Reuse and Recycle'.

RBC is committed to environmental management and continuous improvement. First published in 2007, the RBC Environmental Blueprint sets out our corporate environmental policy, priorities and objectives, including numerous commitments that will drive our environmental sustainability programming.
