On June 2, RBC was honoured with two Cause Marketing Halo Awards – Gold in the Best Environmental or Animal campaign category and Silver in the Best Video Creative campaign category, both for the RBC Blue Water Project. A total of 18 awards were given out to programs judged the best cause marketing campaigns of 2010 at the Annual Cause Marketing Forum Conference in Chicago.
"Cause marketing, the creation of programs that pay financial and social dividends, has grown tremendously over the past ten years." commented Cause Marketing Forum President David Hessekiel. "The winners of this year's Cause Marketing Halo Awards demonstrated creativity, innovation and excellence in campaign execution and results for companies and causes."
Receiving gold in the Best Environmental or Animal Campaign, The RBC Blue Water Project was recognized for its marketing initiatives that showcased the work of its grant recipients via print, online, television and social media. In addition, the judges applauded RBC’s efforts to engage and enable employees to learn about the grant recipients and support the cause by wearing blue on a specific day. RBC also took home silver in the Best Video Creative category for its portrayal of grant recipients in order to tell the RBC Blue Water Project story.
