Royal Bank of Canada remains top Canadian Banking Public Website for the second consecutive year

May 2010 – RBC Royal Bank® (rbcroyalbank.com (opens new window)) earned the top spot in the annual Forrester Research report titled "2010 Canadian Bank Public Web Site Rankings" (April 2010). The report states, "RBC stole the top spot in this year's ranking, scoring 66 out of 100."

"For the second consecutive year, we have demonstrated our commitment to our clients, and prospective clients," said James McGuire, vice-president of Digital Strategy and Experience, RBC. "We are proud to provide visitors to our websites with a combination of relevant and timely content, robust online functionality and superior customer service."

According to Forrester's review, "in areas like trust, research content and functionality, as well as online application content and functionality, RBC set the standard for the banks that we reviewed in Canada. On average, Canadian banks typically score 64 in the research and functionality category."

The report also stated "RBC excels at usability… provides the right information [and]… is top in its applications."

The survey examines more than 50 individual criteria that measure a financial services website's ability to move visitors toward their goals. In addition, Forrester Research awarded RBC Royal Bank Online Banking the top spot in the "2009 Canadian Bank Secure Web Site Rankings" (August 2009).
