RBC Canadian Private Banking Named #1 Domestic Private Bank in Canada
March 10, 2008 —RBC Canadian Private Banking
has taken top spot among domestic Canadian banks for best
overall private banking services, according to the Euromoney
2008 Private Banking Survey. When grouped with all private
banks with operations in Canada, RBC captured second position
for the second year in a row.
Canadian Private Banking was also named the number one provider
of High Net Worth Services, moving into first place from last
year's third position. Furthermore, RBC secured the highest
ranking in both the Corporate Executive and Entrepreneur services
categories, up from second place positions in 2007.
"We're delighted with the survey results and with the
progress we've made over the past few years with our high
net worth strategy," said Russ Cook, Head Canadian Private
Banking. "These scores reflect the professionalism and
commitment to outstanding client service demonstrated by both
our Private Banking teams and our network of specialized partners
from across RBC. We're very confident this strong momentum
will continue as we remain focused on understanding our clients'
needs and dedicated to providing integrated and tailored solutions."
The annual survey is one of the most respected in the industry.
The survey is known as the 'peers' poll', as more than 1,000
wealth management professionals nominate the companies that
they believe are the top providers.
RBC Wealth Management was also awarded top honours in the
Euromoney survey, receiving the #1 ranking for best trust
services in the U.K. for the third year in a row, as well
as taking top position for best offshore services in the U.K.
